ImarisPersonal

Robust Digital Imaging Processing

Allowing the Imaris technology to be available to a broader community, ImarisPersonal includes essential Imaris functionality such as: All the microscopy image readers, basic image processing functions, the 2D viewing modes, the simple 3D projection mode of Imaris, and a snapshot function. If you're an independent investigator or a small lab and you need robust imaging capabilities, ImarisPersonal is the ideal solution.

Overview

ImarisPersonal allows the microscopy community to open images from a wide range of sources, to view those images in the basic views of Imaris, to perform basic image processing tasks, and to output results as snapshots. ImarisPersonal provides all this functionality for an extremely low cost.
ImarisPersonal cannot be combined with any of the other modules directly but can be upgraded to the full Imaris. Unlike all other Imaris products ImarisPersonal cannot be placed under maintenance.

ImarisPersonal is available for only $145 - order now!

Features

Features Include:

(1) Universal Microscopy Image Reader - Reading many native file formats of confocal and widefield microscope manufactures as well as TIFF and BMP images. See the Imaris product datasheet for all supported formats.

(2) Interactive Navigation – Zoom, Pan, and slice through your dataset interactively and in real time in all views.

(3) Interactive Display Adjustment – An unlimited number of color channels can be displayed and interactively adjusted for contrast, brightness, and gamma.

(4) Customizable Scale Bar – Present in all ImarisPersonal views

  • Automatically calibrated when data is read into the program

  • Changes interactively as zoom level changes

  • Position and size of the bar and text can be interactively changed

(5) Slice View

  • Shows a 2D X-Y view of the data set from a single Z plane

  • Scroll up and down through each Z-plane

  • Make a movie scrolling through all the focal planes in the 3D image

  • Shows the intensity in each color channel at the current mouse pointer position which can assist with threshold selection

  • Allows for simple 2D or 3D distance measurements

i. Line mode measures the distance between two points

ii. Polygon mode measures the distance between more than two points

iii. Measurements can be made on a single slice or between slices

iv. Measurements are not permanently recorded / stored

v. Excellent for getting quick size estimates

  • Provides a measurement grid that can be superimposed on the image

(6) Section View

  • This triple view shows a single X-Y, X-Z, and Y-Z slice at the same time

  • The crosshairs allow interactive real time selection of any desired section

  • The extended focus mode allows multiple sections to be combined in a view for selective rendering of planes of interest.

i. Interactively select the slices to be combined or type in a thickness that you want to have represented

ii. Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Mean projection, of Blend projection can be used for combing the slices

  • Show or hide the cross hairs as necessary

  • Include or exclude the particular slice views as desired

(7) Gallery View – Shows all the slices that make up the 3D image

  • Change the number of row and columns interactively or numerically

  • Choose to skip slices from viewing

  • Choose to view only selected slices

(8) Easy 3D View – A projection of the slices from top of the image to the bottom

  • A choice of maximum intensity projection (MIP) and Blend projection

  • Allows the possibility to apply lighting to the blending projection, for a more 3D feel, from the right or left sides of the image

  • Method is highly optimized for speed and economical memory usage

  • Calculation can be performed automatically with each change or manually with the click of a button

(9) Snapshot Function – Allows any view to be exported as a TIFF image

  • Exported image can be the size of the window or a custom selected size

  • Creating images with resolutions far above the display level (i.e. 5K x 5K pixels) is possible and is useful for poster presentations.

  • Allows for the customization of the DPI of the resulting image.

(10) Core Image Processing Functions – All image processing functions listed under image processing on the Imaris product datasheet page.
